i think death penalty must come in namibia to stop criminals, take example from china there u dont do shit, u can be eliminated immidiately. thats only the way to cutt off rapist and robbers. or whats your better idea?

my dear i salute you for bringing up this topic that realy need the nation's attention. lets take for example this mothers that get pregnant and go through the pain of giving birth to a baby the assacinate the poor life of that innocent baby. i say now and again that if death penalty was to be appllicable in namibia, this baby dumping will reduce or better yet it will be eradicated. man im so tired of hearing in every corner of the country an innocent baby was dumped. the same goes to those who kill their partners and children, vakwetu this people should be given death penaly of death. its time namibia stand up and punish evil people before they will be punished in heaven.
once again i thank you most wanted my dear you have really seached my heart coz this issue was eating me alive.

But first of all we should tackle the root causes of all this baby dumping, killing o f innocent mother s and children, what is the possible cause that do not even make someone to think twice about doing such horrible things, it is however also scary for someone carrying a baby for nine months and give birth and i believe it is painfull and yet tht person has the guts to throw that baby away, this is unbelievable, although the law has been linear with those individials and somehow i think the human rights also plays an impact ans Namibia will go against the law by taking the human life, due to the death penalty, but though this is introduced, lif will be again more worse remember those people that commit such crimes are fearless people and they always surrender their lives when they are committing such evil sumtimes it will help, but remember those people are just like suicide bombers no mercy and they do not care about their own lives,,,,, lets look at some posssibilities ,,, or WHAT DO YOU THINK?

You real right miss Ndeapo. Let me thank you for tht and mostly the person who brought up this topic to share. I have a feeling tht we got to look on both sides be4 taking an action.
Those ppl take actions in frustration, stress, unforseen conditions tht can not be done on a normal human being. So, you thinking is better you take actions for punishments that are reasonable be4 hurting the whole nation.
Just imagine how many do take part in this type of criminal activities and what brings it. Solve the Problem Down First Before Taking Any Action. Ohakutiwa: Shamena oshadja ketindi. Find tht trunk or watever are thw causes and you might be the best to solve the problem.

Its true it must come in Namibia but id rather give it to the rapists and the serials killers as well as to those who kill in cold bloob but to the mothers that abort babies id rather advice parental care because as ive reseached recently the statistics shows that most baby dumping comes after the fear of ones parent and most of all due to the lack of moral support from the partenes and the parents.... parents should be understanding their kids. just like it would pain to loose that child of yours to some serial killer imagine loosing ur grandchild to dumping,, it might nt hurt that much but u were supposed to save a life,,, are you not going to be judged too? take it like mistakes happen and whats done is done,,, do not neglect ur child when she needs u most,,, isnt it y ure hr parent? its exactly in times like that when ur hand is needed so be there to hand it.
to the rapists and serial killers... this is a horrendous crime which in most times planned u know its a crime but u dont seek the help of someone,,, y not kill urself if its the pleasure u want? i know its easier said than done but the killers in this specific instance do not deserve the mercy of anyone but to die too...

Hi Most Wanted,
We can talk left and right about the death penalty but ... it will never "come in Namibia". The constitution is sealed on that issue with a seal that cannot be broken unless we suspend the constitution itself (unfortunately, that can only happen in coup).
So, let us rather look for other ways of tackling crime.

YES PLEASE !!
For murder and child rape, the death penalty as ONLY option for punishment.
For each and every case.
Within 1 year of being found guilty.
HANG THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS. Maybe Namibia should have a referendum on this. I'm SHURE at least 75% of the population is in favour of this. (Maybe even 90%)

We may advocate the introduction of a death penalty out of a legitimate concern about rampant crime, but Africa has the bad habit of abusing the death penalty to eliminate political opponents ... remember Nigeria's Ken Saro-Wiwa?
Emotions aside, our Founding Fathers of the Namibian Nation (in the Constituent Assembly) had a good reason to exclude the death penalty forever.

death punishment will cause alot of problem in our lovely country,just imagine the woman hate you soo much because of reasons A and B, she will make anything to get rid of you,namibians women are dangerous...lets just see the way of eradicate the devil sprit in our country.....

Hmmmmm ... I don't support Director's "radical solution" either. What if, after cutting off someone's penis, it is found he did not commit the alleged crime?
We have several examples of people sentenced to death only to be pronounced innocent years later, after new evidence came to light.
